What’s the right bedsheet thread count for hot sleepers?
Not too high, not too low.
For hot sleepers, we recommend a set of Tencel Lyocell sheets with a thread count of 300 as it allows the sheets to feel light and airy enough but not too low that it won’t withstand multiple washes.
The higher the thread count, the more heat it traps.
Too low a thread count, it’s not going to be durable enough.
It’s the quality of the thread that counts.
Lyocell fibers are finer and feel softer than cotton fibers to start with. All our sheets come with a thread count of 300 for that right balance of breathabilty, durability & softness.
What is a duvet cover?
A duvet consists of two separate parts - duvet cover and the quilt or duvet insert. The insert is able to fit in the cover like a pillow in a pillow case.
Duvet cover, also known as quilt cover is different from comforters in that it can be washed separately from your duvet insert, making it easier to clean.
With the separate parts, some people may experience the insert moving around too much when sleeping. Our TENCEL™ Lyocell Duvet Cover Set solves this by having 8 inner ties in the corners of the insert so that it doesn't shift around.
What is a comforter?
Comforters mainly consist of blankets made with a quilt or fluffy blanket that keeps you warm. It's usually made of synthetic fiber fillers that are quilted or stitched together for a smooth filling and evenly distributed.
Compared to duvet covers, comforters usually need to be dry-cleaned and may be harder to get it washed regularly as they are not washing machine washable.
